From Participants to Community Leaders
Persatuan Pemimpin Wanita Berdaya (PPWB) represents one of the most significant outcomes of Women Of Will’s community empowerment journey.
Founded by 23 Community Women Leaders from 10 communities across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Kedah, and Sabah, PPWB was established as a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) under the Registrar of Societies Malaysia following their participation in Women Of Will’s Community Leadership Development Programme (CLDP).
What began as a leadership development initiative has evolved into a community-led movement. Today, PPWB members champion grassroots solutions, advocate for community needs, and mobilise women within their respective communities.
Beyond their own communities, these women now organise leadership programmes, mentorship initiatives, and community wellbeing activities for other women and families. Their journey reflects the essence of sustainable community development — where programme participants become leaders, and leaders become catalysts for change.
PPWB stands as a testament to Women Of Will’s belief that lasting impact is created when communities are empowered to lead their own development.
Because when women rise, communities rise with them.
